Booking Policy

Please read these conditions carefully prior to making a booking. They are limited to our agency (GOLD FAVELA) and do not apply to terms and conditions in relation to any other person or company whose services you or your party use on any holiday. 

  1. BOOKING   

A Gold Favela booking contract is made between the signatory (guest) representing its party and the villa representative or service provider Gold Favela (agency), representing the Villa owner.Your signature gives your fully acceptance off the booking policy (conditions) :

  1. DEPOSIT  

In order to secure your booking a deposit of 30% – 50% (depending on the villa) of the total rent cost must be paid. No contact will exist until we have received the deposit amount and the booking policy form signed and agreed by you (guest).In need of cancellation, charges will become payable according to the cancellation terms in paragraph four (4).

  1. BALANCE PAYMENT   

 
Balance payment should be paid at least eight (8) weeks before your arrival. If the balance payment is not received to us by the due date we shall be entitled to cancel the Gold Villa Booking without prejudice to our claim for cancellation charges and to retain the deposit. For bookings made within eight (8) weeks  of your arrival date, guest will be required to pay the Gold Villa fully rental amount (100%) upon signing.

  1. CANCELATION BY YOU (GUEST)

It is agreed between us that you should wish to cancel all or any part of your Gold Villa Booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us (Gold Favela) due to non payment of the balance amount, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost :

  • 8 weeks or more before arrival : non refundable deposit (30% – 50%).
  • 8 weeks before arrival : deposit and balance payment. 
  • All cancellations must be sent to us written and signed by the signatory of the booking form.
  • Security Deposits will be fully refunded. 
  1. CANCELATION OR ALTERATIONS BY US (GOLF FAVELA AGENCY – OWNER)

Although it is likely that we will have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements it could occasionally happen, and we will inform you at the earliest possible date.If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide you with the property you have booked, we have the right to transfer you to a similar or upgraded property. However, if this is not possible or you do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the Gold Villa booking and refund in full the amount paid to us for the property, but we will not be liable for any other cancellation charges for travel arrangements for you and your party.
*Emergency cancellation policy as below:
It is explicitly agreed that in case local governmental and health authorities or the World Health Organization restricts travelling from origin country or to the chosen destination due to the COVID-19 outbreak restrictions: • In case there are blanket travel restrictions either in Greece or in the country of origin of the lead guest, making it impossible for the lead guest to complete their journey to and from the property, or in the event there is an obligatory lengthy quarantine in either Greece or the country of origin of the lead guest prior to travel, then lead guest is entitled to a credit note equal to the value of the deposited amount, to redeem towards a future reservation at the same property, at a later date in 2022 or 2023, subject to availability and applicable rates and conditions. The lead guest is defined as the person who signs the Villa Rental Agreement, on behalf of all members traveling along, and proceeds with the payment. 
All cancellations must be made in writing. 

  1. SECURITY DEPOSIT

As it is already stated in the booking form, a security deposit is either payable with the balance of the booking or in cash / credit card upon arrival, to cover any potential damages to the property or its contents, for any unpaid bills for extra services, any purchases requested by you during your stay, late departure from property, non-return of keys, excessive cleaning costs, and any resultant costs will be deducted from the Security Deposit. The Property shall be checked prior to and after the Rental Period. The security deposit amount is fully refundable :

  • Within 12 days from the end of the rental period, provided we receive from you all the additional bank information, if paid by card or bank transfer:

A. Account Name B. Bank name C. IBAN Code or Equivalent for non-EU countries D. BIC / Swift Code

  • If security deposit is paid in cash at your arrival the amount is fully refundable at your departure. 

In the exceptional case where the cost of repairing/replacing any proven damages exceeds the Security Deposit, you accept to cover the additional cost within 3 days of your notification. 

  • We recommend that you ensure that guests have insurance policy that will cover accidental damage to the Property and its contents. 
  • Failing to pay the security deposit as stated in your booking form, will prevent you from having access to the property at your arrival, with 100% penalty of the holiday rental costs paid to us.
  1. NUMBER OF GUESTS

The number of guests must not exceed the maximum number indicated in the booking form.Only persons that are stipulated on the booking form shall use the property. Should the key holder (owner – property manager) find more persons that those stated on the booking form, he will be entitled to ask you and your party to pay extra, otherwise the guests must vacate the property on behalf of the property owner, cancel the booking and face a 100% penalty of the holiday fully rental amount paid to us.

  1. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIME 

Depending on the property arrival time (check in) is between 14:00PM – 15:00PM.Departure time (check out) from 10:00AM – 11:00AM.In case of flight delays or inconvenience while travelling, you should contact us at the earliest. No early check-ins or late check-outs are guaranteed unless confirmed by us in advance.For arrival-departure assistance before 5am or after midnight, an extra fee of 50EUR is payable locally.CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES:
Renters are responsible for keys and should leave them inside the house before departure or hand them over to the caretaker/manager.

  1. MINIMUM LETTING PERIOD 

In most of our Gold Villas minimum stay period in high and peak season is one (1) week and in low season four (4) days.Depending on the property and the availability exceptions may be allowed.  Surcharges may apply.

  1. INSURANCE  

It is advised that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against any personal injuries or holiday cancellation.The appropriate coverage should be purchased at the time of the booking. We kindly recommend you to contact your travel agent, travel consultant or insurance broker about this. Your signature on the booking form and your fully payment off deposit/balance confirms to us that you are covered by such insurance and no claims will be made against us.

  1. DAMAGES TO THE PROPERTY & BEHAVIOUR 

As it is already stated in the booking form in paragraph six (6) potential proven damages, including any loss or damage to the property or its contents, non- return of keys and any resultant costs will be deducted from the Security Deposit. The Property shall be checked prior to and after the Rental Period. The signatory is responsible for the correct and decent behaviour of his party for any loss or damage that he or members of he’s party may cause to the property or its contents.
Guests are required to report any damages to the property owner key-holder or to us (GOLD FAVELA)  and to bear the cost of repair or replacement. Should you or any member of your party behave disrespectfully towards the property and its contents, the property owner or key-holder or us, have the right to ask all guests to vacate the property immediately, with 100% penalty of the holiday rental costs paid to us.
We recommend that you ensure that guests have insurance policy that will cover accidental damage to the Property and its contents.  In the exceptional case where the cost of repairing/replacing any proven damages exceeds the Security Deposit, you accept to cover the additional cost within 3 days of your notification. 

  1. COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS DURING YOUR STAY 

Gold Favela has personally checked and visited each property.The Gold Villas descriptions displayed on our website and catalogue are accurate and made in good faith. However, we decline all responsibility for any modifications made by the property owners without our knowledge. We also do not accept any responsibility for the shortage of water supply, gas or electricity, nor for the breakdown of the swimming pool filtration system.We will do our very best to assist you and solve these problems as soon as possible. If you have any problem during your stay, which cannot be satisfied by dealing directly with the property owner – manager , you should contact us immediately. It is impossible for us to help you to claim compensation from the owner if you do not contact us immediately during your stay. Complaints lodged only at the end of the holiday period will not be taken into consideration. Clients who decide to leave the property earlier without our knowledge lose all rights to any eventual refund, compensation or rebate.

  • MANAGEMENT AGENTS 

Should any problems occur during your stay, our management agents must be contacted immediately, they will do their best to resolve any problem in a timely manner. 

  1. EVENTS , PARTIES & ENTERTAINMENT 

The Tenant must honour the capacity of the property and no extra persons can be accommodated at it, as it is already stated in the booking form, paragraph seven (7), (number of guests).
No parties and loud music that will disturb the surrounding properties during the time curfews are allowed in most of our Gold Villas. Entertainment parties and functions involving a large amount of invitees are strictly prohibited unless fully approved by the property key holder in advance and notified to us (venue fees may apply).Should you make an unauthorized use of the property in such a way, the key holder has the right to ask all guests to vacate the property immediately and your security deposit will be fully forfeited until all applicable claims are fully assessed by the owner. Any special occasions such as event, parties, weddings, receptions, family reunions or large gatherings must be disclosed at the time the reservation is made and is subject to Owner’s advanced approval.Only responsible gatherings are permitted in our Gold Villas. 

  1. INJURY DISCLAIMER 

Neither the owner of the property nor us (GOLD FAVELA) can be held responsible for any accident or injuries occurred to all guests during their stay at the property under any circumstances.Please monitor children in the pool area at all times.

  1. CHILDREN 

It is your duty to notify us if there will be any children (and their exact age) in the party before finalising any Gold Villa booking with us. Generally children are accepted in our properties, however some property owners apply some certain child age restriction policy.

  1. PETS 

Pets are generally not accepted in our properties. If you want to bring one with you, please check with us first to have authorisation from the property owner.If accepted you might be asked for an additional security deposit.

  1. SWIMMING POOL

All Gold Villas providing a pool are kept clean and operational by the property staff. Pool towels are provided in all of our properties. If your booking period is before the 01 JUNE or after 01 OCTOBER please check with us if the swimming pool is operational. According to beach towels are not provided in most of our properties. Children should not swim unsupervised. Non of our properties provide a lifeguard.

  1. CONCIERGE SERVICES 

GOLD FAVELA assists you with your Gold Plan (vacation plan), beach , clubs , restaurant reservations , chauffeur services, chef services, exclusive experiences, with a payable fee in advance.According your Gold Plan please advice us at the time of booking.

  1. INCLUDED MAID SERVICES  

All of our properties provide daily light cleaning services. All properties are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised at the beginning of the rental period, before your arrival.  However, guests should leave the property in acceptable condition at the time of their departure. If the property is not left in acceptable conditions the sum of 200-500EUR depending on the property will be deducted from the security deposit paid. Linen & towels change are provided every 3 days (twice weekly), depending on the property, unless stated differently in your booking form.

  1. EXTRA MAID SERVICES 

Gold Favela provides you with extra maid services :Most of our properties provide at least two hours of daily maid services including twice weekly change of bed linen and bath towels.Should you require extra maid service, please advise us at the time of booking, so that the charges can be quoted and included into your holiday costs and in your booking form. Should you require this extra service at your arrival, we cannot guarantee availability at any time but we will do our utmost to satisfy your request. Any quoted charges arranged locally must be paid locally and in advance. Please note that you are not allowed by the property owner to hire third party maid service unless authorised by us (GOLD FAVELA).

  1. PRIVATE GOLD CHEF SERVICES 

Most properties do not provide chef services unless specified at the time of booking. Should you require our Gold Chef please inform us at the time of booking, so that the charges can be quoted and included into your holiday costs and in your booking form.Please note that we (GOLD FAVELA) should be informed if a third party Chef has access to the property at any time.

  1. EXTRA GOLD SERVICES

Should you require any extra Gold Services while already residing at the property, please contact us. We cannot guarantee availability at any time but we will do our utmost to satisfy your request. Any quoted charges arranged locally must be paid locally and in advance.

  1. WATER AND ELECTRICITY 

Please note that properties located in Greek Islands may have severe problems of drought and water shortages. Therefore, water is a commodity to be used sparingly during the summer months. If you experience a shortage of water, we will do everything we can in time to reestablish its supply. Electricity can also be disrupted, normally for a short period of time. However, we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience created by events beyond our control.

  1. TELEPHONE AND INTERNET WIFI

 
Please note that all of our properties feature Internet, WiFi and telephone services. In case of a technical disruption beyond our control, such as a faulty line from the local telephone company, we cannot be held responsible. In case of extreme amount charges on the bills due to misuse of the Telephone or Internet, you will have to cover the charges.

  1. SMOKING

In all of our properties smoking indoors is prohibited. Should you or a member of your party not comply with this rule, or should any upholstery be found damaged by smoking anywhere, we reserve the right to charge a penalty for cleaning the environment or replacement of the damaged content.

  1. PHOTOGRAPHY 

Photographs or Videos taken at our properties cannot be sold for profit or used for commercial activities without written authorisation from us (GOLD FAVELA) or the property owner.

  1. VALUABLES 

Valuables left at the property are at the guests risks. Guest understands that any personal property of and used by Guest is not insured by Owner and neither us (GOLD FAVELA) nor the owner (and the property staff) can be held responsible for any loss, stolen or missing property of the Guest or property of the Guest left after check out. If you require Gold Security Services to guard your property and belongings, please inform us at time of booking, otherwise we cannot guarantee availability at any time but we will do our utmost to satisfy your request. 

  1. PRIOR AGREEMENTS    

No prior agreement or understanding not contained in writing herein shall be effective. Furthermore, Owner, other than what is specifically written and set forth herein, makes no other or further representation regarding the nature, character and quality of the premises to be rented, and no representation shall be deemed to exist or be material unless and until it is reduced to a writing and signed by the parties. 

  1. FORCE MAJEURE

We (GOLD FAVELA) cannot accept, be responsible for or be liable in respect of loss, damage or changes caused by force majeure. All of the following shall be considered force majeure : threat of war, an act of terrorism, sovereign default, civil riots, industrial action, dangerous weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, unexpected shutting down of an airport or harbour, unforeseen changes to transport time schedules or any other event which is beyond our controL

  1. LAW & JURISDICTION

In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with your holiday rental booking with us shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Greece and the European Union.
